Hello!

I’m Tata Wijana, Indonesia based illustrator, working across editorial and narrative driven contexts. My practice is shaped by philosophy, culture, community, and scientific thinking, and is grounded in a semiotic approach prioritising meaning, structure, and conceptual clarity before form.

I work with illustration, paintings, and graphic design, often in collaboration with writers, art directors and editors. Alongside commissioned projects, I maintain an independent art practice, working with installations, painting, and other experimental forms. As well as pro bono, community based work developed outside a commercial framework.

I’ve collaborated with brands and publishers such as Wiley, Harriman House, Kompas Gramedia, KPG, In-depth Creative, IFCCO UAE, Taman Impian Jaya Ancol, Threadless x Disney Villains (as one of their selected collaborative artists), Telkomsel, Sofi.health, and Inspigo.
